PREBIOTICS ARE AS IMPORTANT AS PROBIOTICS
Everything
You need to know about why
PREBIOTICS ARE
AS IMPORTANT AS PROBIOTICS
A famous
quote said by Hippocrates - “All disease begins in the Gut”. It’s common to overlook the health of our gastrointestinal
system, even though it contains ten times more health-determining bacteria than the rest of our body. Protecting
us from infection, supporting our metabolism, and promoting healthy digestion
and elimination.
Unfortunately, the majority of the population has inadequate
amount of beneficial (good) bacteria and a lack of bacterial diversity. Instead
of that majority of population has excess amount of damaging (bad) bacteria
largely because of poor diet but also because of
:
- Stress,
- Over medication,
- Exposure of Environmental toxins,
- Current health and poor body composition
- Acquisition of Inadequate bacterial
Prebiotics are employed to promote both beneficial bacteria which are already established in the colon as well as externally administered Probiotic bacteria. The original definition of Prebiotics was that they are food ingredients which are indigestible in the upper GI tract and reach the colon to beneficially influence the host by selectively promoting the growth and/or activity of certain bacteria in the colon.
Some research suggests that prebiotics may benefit the body
by:
- Improving calcium absorption
- Carbohydrates Metabolism
- Supporting the probiotic
growth of gut bacteria, potentially enhancing digestion and metabolism.
A DIET CONSISTING OF A VARIETY OF FRUITS, VEGETABLES, WHOLE GRAINS, AND FERMENTED FOODS MAKES IT POSSIBLE FOR PEOPLE TO CONSUME SUFFICIENT PREBIOTICS AND PROBIOTICS.
